Women’s History and Resource Center

Women’s History and Resource Center

Founded in 1984, the Women’s History and Resource Center collects, preserves, interprets, and promotes the history of the GFWC and women volunteers. The WHRC documents the social and political contributions of GFWC clubwomen from 1890 to the present through the GFWC archives, related special collections, and publications.

WHRC Online Catalog

The Women’s History and Resource Center will be closed until further notice, as the GFWC Executive Committee and Board of Directors evaluate the pathway to reopening the WHRC. Additions, updates, and further maintenance to the online catalog are on hold until the WHRC reopens.

Meanwhile, the WHRC online catalog provides access to a body of pre-existing information and images related to GFWC’s national history, including archival material, photographs, publications, art, and artifacts. Tips for searching are available by clicking the Help button on the search screen. For history about a specific club or local community, please contact the appropriate State Federation.
